In this tutorial, we show you how to design a multi-page Power BI company performance dashboard from scratch. We start with a dataset in a pivoted, report-like format, which isn’t ideal for analysis. To fix this, we’ll walk you through the process of using the Power Query Editor to unpivot the data, making it much more suitable for building a comprehensive dashboard. Then, we’ll demonstrate how to create a sleek dashboard layout by adding a sidebar, company logo, and a page navigator to create a professional look.
We then dive into building out the dashboard’s three pages: Home, Sales, and Marketing. You’ll learn how to add key performance indicator (KPI) cards to display important metrics like revenue, expenditures, profit, and customers. We also show you how to use various charts to visualize trends over time for different products and sales channels. By the end of this tutorial, you’ll have a fully functional and interactive Power BI dashboard that you can use to analyze your company’s performance.
