In this video, we dive into a comprehensive data analysis and visualization project for Global Swift Logistics. The project leverages a JSON file containing detailed shipping and transportation information. Using Power BI, we create a dynamic, multi-page dashboard to analyze various aspects of the company’s shipping operations. We start by building a dashboard to track key performance indicators (KPIs) like the number of shipments, percentage of on-time deliveries, average transit days, and freight costs. This dashboard is enhanced with interactive filters that allow users to dynamically analyze data based on carriers, shipment mode, and other criteria.
The analysis is then expanded to dedicated pages focusing on specific areas. A “Carrier Performance” dashboard evaluates the efficiency of different carriers, providing insights into on-time delivery rates, average transit times, and customer ratings. Similarly, a “Mode Performance” dashboard assesses the effectiveness of different shipping modes (e.g., air, sea, express) across various metrics. We also create a “Cost and Efficiency” dashboard, which uses a scatter chart to visualize the relationship between transit days, freight costs, and shipment weight for different modes. Finally, we perform a “Geographic Analysis” using a custom Power BI visual to map global shipping routes, providing a visual representation of the company’s delivery network.
