🎬Power BI: Data Modeling and Advanced Visualization in Power BI Desktop
In this YouTube tutorial, we will walk you through the process of Power BI Data Modeling and Visualization. We will start by creating a data model from an MS Excel-based data set, and then proceed to build a dashboard using that data model.
Our dataset contains a wide range of information, including sales, products, product categories, stores, staff, marketing channels, payment methods, customer lists, and brand details.
To make our data model more insightful, we`ll calculate the sales revenue by multiplying the quantity sold by the product price. We`ll also account for discounts to arrive at net sales.
In the report view, we`ll create various visuals to represent our data. We`ll start by adding a line and column chart to display net sales and quantity over time. Then, we`ll explore staff and store performance using bar charts.
We`ll add pie and donut charts to showcase sales by brand, product category, marketing channel, and payment method.
With all our charts in place, we have successfully created a comprehensive dashboard. This is a powerful tool for analyzing and presenting your data.
