Number Format:
This dropdown menu is the heart of the group. It provides diverse ways to present your numbers, including:
General: Default format without any special formatting.
Number: Adds decimal places, thousands separators, and negative number symbols.
Currency: Formats numbers as monetary values with currency symbols.
Accounting: Similar to currency format but aligns decimal places and uses red parentheses for negatives.
Percentage: Multiplies values by 100 and adds a percentage sign.
Date & Time: Formats numbers as dates, times, or durations.
More Formats: Opens a window with even more specific format options like fractions, text numbers, and custom formats.
Increase Decimal Places/Decrease Decimal Places: These buttons let you control the number of decimal places displayed, regardless of the chosen format.
Buttons:
Number Symbol Format: For formats like currency and accounting, you can click this button to choose different positive and negative number symbols.
Percent Style: When working with percentages, this button lets you switch between displaying the percentage sign at the end (%) or within the number (100%).
